Nine Line Apparel is proud to partner with NASCAR driver Jeffrey Earnhardt to give back to those who have given so much in sacrifice to our nation, by joining forces to raise funds and awareness for Nine Line Foundation during the 2018 racing season.
The partnership began in April 2018 with a joint fundraising effort for Angels of America’s Fallen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emotional and recreational support to the children of our fallen servicemembers. Earnhardt and Nine Line joined forces with the “Remember the Fallen” fundraising design, which was available for sale at Nine Line Apparel’s website during the month of May. For every shirt purchased, each customer could submit the name of a fallen servicemember. These names, along with the Angels of America’s Fallen emblem, was displayed on the hood of Earnhardt’s car at the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Caroline on Memorial Day weekend. Together, Earnhardt and Nine Line raised $15,000 for the nonprofit organization, and they presented a check for the proceeds to the CEO of the organization, Joe Lewis, at the race.
“I am honored to be partnered with Nine Line Apparel,” said Earnhardt. “We had over 600 names of men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice on the car for Memorial Day weekend. I am humbled to be able to partner together with all of the organizations and companies who have helped to make this possible, including the NASCAR fans who have helped to raise $15,000, which was donated to Angles of America’s Fallen.”
This month, Nine Line and Earnhardt are coming together to raise funds for the Nine Line Foundation’s current initiative: to build a transitional housing community for homeless veterans in the Savannah area, providing not only housing, but also job training in the growing field of aquaponics farming, to help them break free of the cycle of homelessness. On Thursday, May 24th, Nine Line launched the design “Leave No Man Behind”, which will be available for sale for two weeks on their website, ninelineapparel.com. Proceeds from the sale of the design will be donated to Nine Line Foundation. Every customer who buys the design will be able to submit the name of an active duty servicemember at the time of purchase, which will be featured on the hood of Earnhardt’s car during the Coke Zero 400.
“We’re truly honored to be working with Jeffrey and his team on another initiative,” said Nine Line CEO CPT Tyler Merritt, who is also the founder of Nine Line Foundation. “The Foundation is very near and dear to my heart. Our goal is to raise awareness of the widespread homelessness among our veterans, as well as funds to help them get back on their feet.”
The check for the proceeds from this design will be presented to Nine Line Foundation at the Coke Zero 400 in Daytona, Florida, the weekend of July 6-8. Earnhardt’s car will have the Foundation’s logo on the hood during the race, as well as the submitted names of active duty military.
